A platform for presenting and classifying large collections of stocks or other financial instruments, providing an at-a-glance heatmap view of the market, alongside detailed quotes, news feeds and historical graphs.
Looking for the old, Flash-based prototypes of Stockmapper? You can still access them here.
Stockmapper is designed and developed by TWO-N inc, a New York -based data visualization agency. The version you are viewing consists of the components of the NYA Index –– a collection of 1800 stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange –– but Stockmapper can be configured and restyled to display any collection of financial instruments. For example, here's a version covering India's stock markets, created for BluFin India, a Mumbai-based financial information company. For inquiries, contact TWO-N.

Stockmapper is a stock heat map, representing the performance of stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The heat map renders the individual percent changes in market value for 1800 stocks.
The filter buttons on the top panel filter the stocks by logical groupings such as capitisation, industries and major indexes. The buttons are color coded according to the performance of the group. You can mouse over any button to get the trading volume of the group.
The heat map can also be sorted by ticker symbol, price change, volume or market capitalization.
You can mouse over any ticker symbol on the heat map to get market metrics for the selected stock such as the day's open, high/low and trading volume. Clicking on stock brings up a panel with charts and stock-related headlines with links to the individual news items.
Upon selecting an individual stock group you will see a “bridge bar chart” of all stocks in the group with visual representation of price change and trading volume for easy evaluation the groups overall performance.
